Surgical Technician Operating Department - Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Room, with line responsibility to the OR Charge Nurse and functioning under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist, functions as a member of the perioperative nursing team to perform direct and indirect perioperative nursing tasks for patients and assists the anesthesia team. The primary focus of this position is the scrub person and the assist circulator roles. In collaboration with a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist serves as a technical subject matter expert for at least one surgical service and a preceptor for new scrub personnel.

Surgical Technican/Labor&Delivery - Reporting to the Director, Obstetrical Nursing, the surgical technician provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department and regulatory agencies. The L&D Surgical Technician will assist team members and work within their scope of practice. Scrubs in, sterilizes, and sets up rooms. Provides clerical and support services to the unit as needed.
