Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
Reports to the Practice Manager and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s), the Urgent Care Center Coordinator (UCCC) is responsible for greeting and registering patients in a timely and efficient manner.  The UCCC also supports the physicians in a fast paced environment to treat various types of ailments while also supporting the medical tech's with a team approach to clinical flow and appropriate duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred. Medical Assistant course preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year required in relevant medical office experience, in a medical/physician's office or emergency room.
Licensure and/or Certification: CPR/BLS certification required and maintained, or to achieve within 4 months from date of hire. ACLS and PALS certification encouraged.
Skills:
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records, Microsoft Office and Outlook and use computer based scheduling to record and maintain demographic, scheduling, and related information
Must be able to read and write English and possesses verbal and written communication skills to understand and interpret instructions
Superior customer service skills, with experience to handle escalated issues
Demonstrates effective professional and positive communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families and urgent care staff, on the phone and in person
Knowledge of medical billing systems, medical coding, and third party payer requirements as well as the ability to process financial transactions
Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures
Accurately read and write medical terminology
Strong aptitude for detail with excellent critical thinking, multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills
Work in a high-pressure environment independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
