Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Be the Face of Care in a Fast-Paced Urgent Care Environment
Join our urgent care team as an Urgent Care Center Coordinator, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient. You’ll be the first point of contact, greeting and registering patients while supporting physicians, medical assistants, and the care team to ensure efficient and safe patient flow.
Reporting to the Practice Manager and working directly with physicians, you’ll help keep clinical operations running seamlessly while making a meaningful impact on patient care and satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and register patients in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner
- Support physicians and medical staff in a fast-paced urgent care environment
- Assist medical assistants and other team members to maintain smooth clinical workflow
- Accurately record patient demographics, scheduling, and other information in the EMR
- Process financial transactions, insurance verification, and third-party payer requirements
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams in person and by phone
- Support office and laboratory procedures as needed
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information
What You Bring
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a medical office, physician’s office, or emergency care setting preferred
Licensure & Certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification required (must be maintained or obtained within 4 months of hire)
Key Skills & Strengths
- Basic computer proficiency, including EMR/EHR systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and scheduling software
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle escalated patient or family concerns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, billing systems, and coding principles
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Positive, professional, and patient-centered attitude
