- Reporting to the Manager of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services or designee, the per diem Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment to acute, medically fragile inpatients. Must have experience in providing dysphagia care. Responsible to the patient and family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect care delivered. Required to work a minimum of two weekend days per month- a minimum of 4 hours each weekend day, as well as one major holiday and one minor holiday per year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required.
- Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Speech Language Pathologist with acute care experience and expertise in dysphagia evaluation and treatment required.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current licensure to practice speech therapy in Massachusetts required.
- CCC-SLP by the American Speech, Hearing & Language Association required.
- BLS required within 4 months from hire.
