Social Worker - Behavioral Health Services- 40 hours/week

Job Summary
The Clinical Social Worker for Behavioral Health Services offers family assessment, support and intervention to the families and significant others for psychiatric and addictions inpatients. The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for coordinating he disposition plan and making required after care referrals for patients. She/he can provide clinical supervision to students if appropriately licensed. She/he functions under the supervision of the Manager of Operations, Behavioral Health Services and is responsible to the patient and family for social services provided and the Interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited graduate school of social work required.
Experience
2 years or experience required in clinical social work practice (which can include appropriately related field work)
Licensure and/or Certification
LICSW preferred.
BLS healthcare provider required.
LCSW required.
CPI required within 3 months of hire.
Skills
Competence and experience in clinical practice.
Ability to conduct and document Psychosocial Assessments.
Knowledge of psychiatric terminology, DSM IV criteria, basics of Psycho-pharmacology; knowledge of requirements for mandated reporting, and of hospital and community policies and resources.
Communication skills.
Computer skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
