Section Lead Ultrasound

Job Summary
· Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, The Ultrasound Section Leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of Diagnostic Ultrasound Services. Responsible for day to day management of multiple locations within the Emerson Health System. Provides strategic direction for the continued growth of these highly visible services. Functions as expert consultant to radiology services in the region related to sonography. Implements established Radiology management objectives in order to support key operating strategies of the corporate strategic plan. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director of Imaging Services and Hospital personnel towards achieving organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education
o Graduate of an education program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry.
o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Business, Public Health, or Health Care Administration preferred.
· Experience
o Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Sonographer
o Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
· Licensure and/or Certification
o BLS healthcare provider required
o Current registration with ARDMS.
· Skills
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.
o Must be computer proficient, including PACS and HIS/RIS.
o Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
o Ability to manage multiple priorities with responsibilities on various campuses.
o Strong administrative, analytical and critical thinking skills.
o Proven leadership skills with experience in strategic planning and service development.
o Highly skilled in the operation of technical equipment and related technologies.
o Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
o Ability to maintain confidential information required.
o Excellent customer service skills.
o Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
