Emerson Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Resource Nurse to support clinical excellence, staff development, and patient-centered care within a high performing acute care environment. This role partners closely with the Nurse Manager and Clinical Educator to drive unit operations, strengthen clinical competency, and improve patient outcomes.

The Clinical Resource Nurse plays a key leadership role at the bedside, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring safe, high quality care delivery across the patient population. This position is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about mentorship, quality improvement, and advancing nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership and Support
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting best practices and evidence based care
Support real time clinical decision making and patient care coordination
Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competency validation

Quality and Patient Outcomes
Promote high quality, safe patient care aligned with organizational standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring
Support compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements

Collaboration and Operations
Work collaboratively with Nurse Manager and Clinical Educator to support unit operations
Contribute to care planning and delivery using the nursing process
Foster strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork

Professional Practice and Growth
Support staff education and professional development
Stay current with evolving nursing practices, clinical trends, and patient care standards
Actively contribute to strategic goals, mission, and vision of Patient Care Services


Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required

Experience
Minimum of three years of nursing experience in a specialty area required
Demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to professional growth required
Experience with telemetry monitoring required

Licensure and Certification
Current RN license in Massachusetts required
BLS certification required
ACLS required for applicable areas
PALS required for areas with pediatric responsibilities
Specialty certification preferred or obtained within one year of hire
