RN-Cardiovascular Associates

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Range: $32.00 - $55.00 per hour
Job Summary:
The Cardiology Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. The Cardiology RN must have the ability to triage and evaluate patients with critical cardiac complaints under the direct supervision of the cardiologist. RN will also facilitate the Cardiologists treatment plan and collaborate with affiliate providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate from an approved RN nursing program with Bachelors Degree in nursing
Experience:
Cardiovascular patient care experience required
Outpatient and prior telephone triage experience preferred.
Critical Care, CCU/Telemetry experience preferred
Licensure and/or Certification:
Current Massachusetts RN license required
Bachelors Degree in nursing
Current BLS certification required.
Current ALS certification preferred
Skills:
Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to make time-sensitive decisions and function independently.
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical office staff.
Strong working knowledge of cardiovascular medications.
Strong interest and abilities in patient education.
Strong cardiovascular patient assessment skills.
Competence in basic arrhythmia and basic 12 Lead EKG interpretations.
Ability to do timely EMR documentation of patient problems/concern, clinical direction provided, and the follow-up plan.
Computer literate. Prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
Able to triage and evaluate patients with cardiac disease
Able to use equipment and related supplies
Role models demonstrating flexibility, positive attitude, and strong problem solving skills
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
Computer skills required
Ability to maintain confidential information
