Registered Nurse – Wheeler 5 (Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic & Oncology Unit)
About the Role

As a Registered Nurse here, no two shifts are ever the same. You’ll provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population while collaborating with a skilled, multidisciplinary team. Reporting to nursing leadership, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care every day.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the full nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor telemetry patients and support post-surgical, orthopedic, and oncology cases with specialized care.
- Create, implement, and update individualized care plans for patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless care.
- Educate patients and families, empowering them with knowledge for recovery and self-care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes with accuracy.
- Mentor and support colleagues through preceptorship, teamwork, and professional development.
- Participate in unit and hospital initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes.
- Advocate for patient rights, privacy, and dignity always.
What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous medical/surgical, telemetry, or orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and customer service skills.
- Comfort with computers and commitment to confidentiality.
