Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services and the Director of Decision Support, the Perioperative Services Operations Analyst is responsible for all business operations practices and policies associated with the business operations of Emerson Hospital Surgical Services:  Central Sterile Processing, SDC, PST, PACU, Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Spine Center, and the Orthopedic Service Line. As such, the Perioperative Operations Analyst, in collaboration with the Director of Perioperative Services and the Director of Decision Support, is responsible for development of the annual budget and capital budget, analyzing bi-weekly, monthly and annual financial data, monitoring billing practices, departmental productivity and all workflow activities associated with scheduling of procedures and the registering of patients. In collaboration with the Director of Perioperative Services and the Director of Decision Support the Business Analyst is responsible for insuring that Perioperative Services, Endoscopy, and the Spine Center are compliant with all regulatory standards related to the delivery of patient care and billing of such.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science or health care-related field preferred or three years of health care-related experience.
 

  • Experience:
    Proficient with microcomputers and MS Office software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel. Surgical or sterile processing experience preferred but not required.
     
  • Licensure and/or Certification:
    N/A
     
  • Skills: 
    Ö  Excellent customer service skills.
          Ö  Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
