OR Core Specialist - 40 hours/week 9am-5:30pm

Job Summary:
- Under the general supervision of the Operating Room Nurse Manager, the OR Core Specialist will provide case picking services for all scheduled cases and add-on cases in the Operating Room. The OR Core Specialist will review all upcoming cases during daily huddle and will work collaboratively with the OR Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse(s), Service Leaders, and Supply Chain Team to ensure case pick is accurate and completed daily. The OR Core Specialist will also collaborate with the SPD team to ensure instrumentation needed for every case is accounted for.
- Assist in assuring that departmental SOPs and the facilities Policies are followed. Interprets next day surgical schedule and identifies the Operating Room needs for the day and proactively looks at needs over next 72 hours. Identifies surgical sets requiring turnover for the day. Maintains communication with the OR Charge Nurse, Service Leads, SPD, and Supply Chain regarding any instrument and product issues with add-on surgical cases.
- Responsible for the daily reconciliation Returned supplies and instrumentation after case is completed or cancelled.
- Responsible for Pick Room and all inventory locations, and daily maintenance for items and instruments (cycle counts, outdates, updating labels and locations, etc).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Equivalent to High School Diploma preferred
- Licensure and/or Certification

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
