Occupational Therapist (OT) | Inpatient Rehabilitation
Full Time Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Massachusetts
Join a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team focused on helping patients regain independence, improve daily function, and achieve meaningful recovery goals. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to provide high quality patient care in a hospital based inpatient rehabilitation setting.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, neurological conditions, and other functional impairments. This position works closely with an interdisciplinary care team to support exceptional patient outcomes and a positive patient experience.
Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and patient assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs
Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and functional independence
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, adaptive techniques, safety recommendations, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
Deliver age appropriate, patient centered care in a fast paced inpatient rehabilitation environment
Respond effectively to changing patient conditions and prioritize workload appropriately
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program required
Licensure and Certification
Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license required
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
Experience
Previous Occupational Therapy experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or hospital settings strongly preferred
Relevant clinical affiliations and fieldwork experience considered
Skills and Qualifications
Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Commitment to patient satisfaction, teamwork, and service excellence
Computer proficiency and electronic medical record experience preferred
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
