Job Summary
Join our team as a Nursing Assistant on the Medical-Surgical Unit (Wheeler 4 – Pediatric/Adult), where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across both pediatric and adult populations in a fast-paced acute care setting. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you will support patient care activities while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily patient care needs, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
  • Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
  • Support nurses with clinical tasks within scope of practice
  • Provide age-appropriate care to both pediatric and adult patients
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • At least 1 year of acute care or medical-surgical clinical experience preferred
  • Experience with pediatric and/or adult patient populations preferred

Licensure & Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
