Nurse Manager - Endoscopy

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, responsible for the management and supervision of the Endoscopy Department

Minimum Qualifications

·         Education

o   Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.

o   BSN preferred.

o   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Business, Public Health, or Health Care Administration preferred.

·         Experience

o   A minimum of 5 years nursing experience in Endoscopy required.

o   Previous supervisory and/or management experience strongly preferred

·         Licensure and/or Certification

o   Current licensure as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required.

o   BLS healthcare provider required.

o   ACLS required

o   CGRN preferred

o   Conscious Sedation certification (obtained through Emerson Hospital Nursing) required.

·         Skills

o   Advanced nursing skills specific to surgical procedures and endoscopy.

o   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.

o   Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).

o   Excellent customer service skills

o   Ability to manage multiple priorities with responsibilities on various campuses.

o   Strong administrative, analytical and critical thinking skills.

o   Proven leadership skills with experience in strategic planning and service development.

o   Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

o   Ability to maintain confidential information required.
