As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will work directly with patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures, helping ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and an exceptional care experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after nuclear medicine procedures
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and regulatory standards
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Ensure compliance with state radiation safety guidelines and department protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records using PACS, RIS, and electronic systems
  • Establish and maintain IV access as required for imaging procedures
  • Protect and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, or
  • Certificate in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program or a MA DPH/NMTCB-approved education program

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
  • Motivated new graduates may be considered

Licensure and Certifications

  • Current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • Current registration as R.T.(N) (ARRT) or CNMT required within one year of hire

  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and other medical imaging systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Ability to maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a clinical environment
