Join our laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), where your work directly supports accurate diagnoses and life-saving treatments. In this role, you’ll perform a wide range of routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Working under the general supervision of the Core Lab Supervisor and with guidance from experienced Medical Technologists, you’ll contribute to high-quality, timely diagnostic results that providers rely on every day.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic laboratory testing in hematology and related areas
  • Analyze blood, body fluid, and environmental specimens with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Operate and maintain automated and manual laboratory equipment
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality control standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results
  • Assist with specimen collection, including venipuncture as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues and apply problem-solving skills in a dynamic lab setting
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and confidentiality standards

What You Bring

Required Education

  • Associate degree in Hematology, Chemical, Biological Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology required
  • OR in lieu of education, must be ASCP certified

Required Experience

  • Minimum one year of laboratory experience (including hematology)
  • New graduates from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program are considered to meet experience requirements

Licensure & Certification

  • ASCP or NCA certification strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of laboratory methods, analytical principles, and hematology procedures
  • Experience with automated and manual laboratory equipment
  • Strong understanding of quality control and laboratory best practices
  • Manual dexterity for specimen handling, venipuncture, and equipment calibration
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in complex or variable situations
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, and technical instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills across clinical teams
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
