Job Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. In this position, you’ll support physicians and help ensure a smooth, efficient experience for every patient—from intake to follow-up.
Reporting to the Office Manager and working under the direct supervision of physician(s), you will be responsible for preparing patients for visits and assisting with both clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced office environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and updating medical histories
- Assist physician(s) during procedures and office visits
- Support daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and record management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Deliver a positive, professional experience for patients and team members
What You Bring
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or office setting preferred
Licensure/Certification
- State certification preferred, but not required
Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong keyboarding skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred, including GE Centricity and/or Meditech
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
