Shift: Day shift
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Under the direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, provides administrative and technical leadership for Core Laboratory Services, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Point of Care testing (POCT). Focus on strategic oversight, planning, and departmental performance. Develops and administers policies and procedures in collaboration with the Assistant Core Lab Supervisor, Point of Care Coordinator, and Administrative Lab Director to ensure efficient and high-quality laboratory services.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited school.
- Experience
- Minimum five years previous experience working in Core (chemistry/hematology/urinalysis/Point of Care) laboratory.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience required
- Licensure and/or Certification
- MT or MLS (ASCP or AMT)
- Skills
- Proven managerial skills.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the field of laboratory medicine, and of laboratory tests available.
- Effective skills to bring all technical, patient service, personnel problems or other operational issues to positive resolution.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the field of laboratory medicine and in all applicable regulations pertinent to laboratory licensure and accreditation.
- Exceptional planning and organizing ability.
- Ability to develop and work within timeframes.
- Demonstrated competency in laboratory operations.
