Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Practice Manager, the Lead Medical Assistant Clinical Office Coordinator assists in daily operations and performs a wide variety of revenue cycle responsibilities and support to the physicians and staff in the clinic. Assure medical assistants are getting patients ready for their exams with physicians along with getting medical clearances for procedures .Performs scheduling, referral management, eligibility verification, registration, authorization, scheduling procedures/surgeries and testing, check in and check out of patients, co pay collection and physician/hospital billing. Follow all insurance and JACHO regulatory requirements as needed. Assists the physicians and PA;s as needed. Assures Patient Experience protocols are followed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred.
Experience
Two to Four years of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical/physician's office preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
Medical assistant certification required
Skills
Computer skills
Ability to maintain confidential information
Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in person
Customer service skills
