Position Overview
Reporting to the Practice Manager and working closely with our physicians, the Lead Clinical Office Coordinator plays a vital role in coordinating office operations, supporting clinical workflows, and guiding administrative and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support physicians with daily clinical and administrative workflow
- Coordinate and oversee front office and clinical support staff
- Ensure efficient patient scheduling, intake, and communication processes
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Provide excellent customer service to patients in person and over the phone
- Assist in resolving office conflicts and fostering a positive team environment
- Help maintain compliance with healthcare policies and procedures
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or administrative assistant role required
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician’s office strongly preferred
Licensure/Certification
- State certification preferred but not required
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer applications
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (phone and in-person)
- Strong customer service mindset with a patient-first approach
- Ability to professionally manage and resolve workplace conflict
