IT Support Engineer

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, the IT Support Engineer has primary responsibility for support of the end user desktop computing environment at Emerson Hospital. This includes hardware, local applications, operating systems, and other IT owned devices used by hospital staff. The IT Support Engineer assists the Senior Support Engineers with projects and mentors and provided technical assistance to the Support Specialists.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in C omputer Science, Health C are, Electrical Engineering, Nursing, Information Systems or related speciality, and/or
equivalent experience/ training.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) year of experience providing end user support in a Helpdesk or C all C enter environment.
Licensure and/or Certification
A valid Massachusetts Driver`s License may be required.
Skills
Strong customer service skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate English.
Must be able to maintain confidential information.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve or escalate computer problems.
Ability to interact positively with medical staff under difficult conditions
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and PC hardware.
Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies, in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact favorably with people, and work effectively as a team member.
