The Intake Assistant reports to the Home Care Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the Intake/insurance nurse with her duties of taking home care referrals. This position is also responsible for much of the preliminary work in verifying insurance and in the proper registration process in the Home EMR, Allscripts Home Care.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 years Home Care or related office function experience. Experience in Hospital or Home care Registration preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification: None required.
Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel. Allscripts Home Care experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
