Hours: 6am-6:30pm, 6am-4:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 930am-6pm
Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Job Summary
Join our healthcare team as a Customer Service Representative where you will play an important role in enhancing the patient experience through compassionate service and nutritional support.
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for handling patient inquiries in a courteous, professional, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will work directly with patients to assist with meal selections, support various dietary needs, and help ensure patients receive nutritious meals that align with physician-ordered diets.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong customer service skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and making a positive impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and requests
- Assist patients with meal selections based on prescribed dietary requirements
- Support patients on a variety of specialized diets
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient satisfaction
- Accurately document and communicate patient information
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with healthcare privacy standards
- Collaborate with dietary and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient service
- Utilize hospital systems, including Meditech, to support daily operations
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of office, clerical, customer service, or healthcare administrative experience desired
- Prior hospital, medical office, dietary services, or healthcare experience preferred
- Professional telephone and communication skills desired
Licensure and/or Certification
- None required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the Meditech system preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
