Concussion Clinic Office Coordinator

Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor and the Business Manager, and works under the direction of the Physicians and Nurse Practitioner, the Concussion Clinic Office Coordinator performs a wide variety of responsibilities and support to the physicians and NP. The Concussion Office coordinator schedules patient appointments with the physicians, Nurse Practitioner and also concussion based physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy evaluation and visits. Job duties also include selected clerical activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Secretary program preferred.
Experience: One to three years Administrative Assistant/Medical Office experience strongly preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification: Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of GE Centricity to access and utilize electronic medical records preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Knowledge of patient billing, account processes, third party billing and revenue cycle preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information required.
