Job Summary

Join a patient-focused medical practice where your organizational and communication skills help create a seamless experience for both patients and providers. Reporting to the Practice Manager and working closely with physicians and nurse practitioners, the Clinical Office Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the office.

In this role, you will manage front desk and administrative functions, support clinical staff, and help deliver high-quality, efficient patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone
  • Coordinate daily front desk operations to ensure an efficient and welcoming office environment
  • Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and manage patient flow
  • Support physicians and nurse practitioners with administrative tasks
  • Maintain and update patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Handle correspondence, messages, and general office communication
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a medical office or administrative assistant role preferred

Licensure/Certification

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary program preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems (GE Centricity and Meditech preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone
  • High level of customer service and patient engagement
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
