Job Summary
Join a patient-focused medical practice where your organizational and communication skills help create a seamless experience for both patients and providers. Reporting to the Practice Manager and working closely with physicians and nurse practitioners, the Clinical Office Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the office.
In this role, you will manage front desk and administrative functions, support clinical staff, and help deliver high-quality, efficient patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone
- Coordinate daily front desk operations to ensure an efficient and welcoming office environment
- Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and manage patient flow
- Support physicians and nurse practitioners with administrative tasks
- Maintain and update patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Handle correspondence, messages, and general office communication
- Ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
What We’re Looking For
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a medical office or administrative assistant role preferred
Licensure/Certification
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary program preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems (GE Centricity and Meditech preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone
- High level of customer service and patient engagement
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
