Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Range: $27.06 - $42.39 per hour

Reports to Administrative Director and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s). The Urology Clinic Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Urology clinic by coordinating and supervising clinic and administrative operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education
    • Graduate of professional accredited LPN nursing school required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in Urology, Urogynecology or surgery
    • Minimum of 5 years of management experience or relevant experience in a medical/physician’s outpatient facility
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
    • BLS healthcare provider required.
  • Skills
    • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records including EPIC (EMR) and Meditech, outlook, word, excel. Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures required.
    • Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in person
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Multitasking skills a must
    • Ability to work independently and with the public in a high-pressure environment.
    • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to interact professionally and positively with patients and colleagues.
    • Ability to accurately process financial transactions.
    • Ability to use computer-based scheduling/record/billing systems to record and maintain demographic, scheduling, and billing related information. 
    • Ability to maintain accurate records.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
    • Possesses and applies the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care to patients and customers throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns in each step of the care process. This includes Knowledge of growth and development, ability to interpret population specific data and response to care and to provide population specific communication.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology.
    • Understand and be competent to perform the front desk registration and medical assistant position.
    • Proficient in using and training others in common PC applications.
    • Excellent customer service skills to handle difficult situations.
    • Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate new and current staff.
