Central Supply Certified Technician - 40 hours/week 3-11:30pm

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 3:00pm-11:30pm
We are seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical supplies to support clinical teams across the organization.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that surgical and procedural teams have properly prepared sterile instruments, helping deliver safe and effective patient care. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, and committed to following established protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to departmental policies and industry standards.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and processes to ensure proper instrument processing.
- Follow all departmental procedures, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements related to sterile processing.
- Perform quality checks to ensure instruments are properly assembled, functional, and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to sterilization processes.
- Provide excellent service and communication when supporting operating room and clinical staff.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies to maintain sterility and compliance.
- Protect patient and organizational confidentiality in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of a sterile processing technician training program preferred.
Experience
- One to three years of experience in sterile processing or operating room support strongly preferred.
Certification
- Current certification required in Central Service or Sterile Processing through CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills when working with clinical staff.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
