NURSE PRACTITIONER

• Under general direction of the Medical Director of the wound Center the nurse practitioner performs treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with problematic wounds who are receiving comprehensive wound care and or hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • Completion of a master’s degree in nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required
• Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in general surgery, wound care or related field.
• Licensure and/or Certification
  • • Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required.
    • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (ARNP) or (PA-C)
    • BLS healthcare provider required.

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills, on the phone and in person

    • Excellent problem-solving skills required, including creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness, and technical knowledge related to analyzing and resolving medical problems.
